This July, extraSlice is taking the lead in promoting women’s opportunities in tech fields by hosting a 3-Day Hackathon for women and girls. Participants should start thinking of their ideas now; we’ll hear 60 second pitches from the first 30 participants. We will take the top 10 ideas, and divide the groups in to 10 teams, to execute each idea.
Participants will use technology to create a solution to a common problem from any industry, from shopping and retail, parking, use in volunteer programs, and more. Each of the 10 teams will select a woman to lead, but we welcome and encourage men and boys to participate as well! Diversity is a collaborative exercise!
extraSlice will bring in coaches and advisers before and during the event, to help them develop their startup ideas.
