Shelmina came from humble beginnings in Tanzania and was the first person in her family to obtain a college degree. With degrees in Computer Science and Mathematics, she rose up to be one of IBM’s highest ranking woman of color while being a single mother of two children. Over her career of 30 years, she has led global teams and various businesses delivering revenues in excess of billion dollars annually.
She learned many lessons and is motivated to have an impact by sharing her insights to accelerate the success of other girls and women.
