Bellevue, WA, May 25th, 2016 –- extraSlice, a local shared-space company with big ambitions is poised to disrupt the market with an entirely new and creative notion of how space for technology start-up companies should be done.

extraSlice co-founders and co-CEOs, Binu Reghunathan and Meghana Subramanian, announced the availability of offices and open configured work-spaces in a new 16,000 square-foot full floor co-working space conveniently located at Benaroya I-90 Class A Office building.  The new space will begin formal operations effective June 1st.

Originally opening their doors in 2014, it took extraSlice less than 6 months to reach capacity. Now they are taking that success to the next level. According to Mr. Reghaunathan, this represents Phase 1 of their plan, but not just in a larger space. They are coming to the market with a whole new disruptive approach to delivering co-working space to the tech start-up community.

“We are delighted to welcome extraSlice to Benaroya I-90 South,” said Larry Benaroya, Principal of The Benaroya Company. “extraSlice’s members and guests will enjoy a high quality environment, outstanding access and amenities, and an immediate welcoming, positive experience.”

Ms. Subramanian noted that “from our perspective, tech start-ups have never really had a home of their own . . . until now. Now there will be a place for tech start-ups to work, create, develop, evolve, collaborate, launch and grow.”

Bryan Oliver of Washington Partners Corporate Real Estate is one of the people instrumental in securing the space for extraSlice.  He mentioned that from his experience in representing tenants throughout the northwest that, “a lot of our start-up clients are looking for flexible lease options, with low start-up costs, in a cool tech environment as they are figuring out future headcount projections. Until now, Bellevue has lacked this type of space. We are excited to have had the opportunity to help Extraslice open this location to service this need on the Eastside”. HERE

extraSlice has put together a new tech village concept as an Agile Office Program. While it is still technically a co-working space, they are offering a level of flexibility, and scalability for co-working in a seamless combination with training through their Career School and IT talent services via their Extended Office program that simply has never existed in the local tech community. All with pricing that adapts as needs change.

This new extraSlice community space is immediately ready for the new subscribing members to configure as they need – in their style, and as they work. In addition when companies need to add head-count, the program makes it easy to do, in place and in a contiguous configuration for 10 – 50 employees. Client space can grow – organically – as their company grows.

Ms. Subramanian noted that they have placed, “a special focus on helping overcome the barriers to success for tech start-ups. Whether that is a lack of business experience, a need for technical resources, technical training or office space. That support should be easily accessible and affordable to our community.”

On June 16, there’s a start-up pitch event that will culminate with a “shark tank” style pitch to some well-known local venture leaders.  Tickets to this event can be secured at http://backup.extraslice.com/pitch HERE
